Coach Christy brings nearly two decades of aquatics experience to her role as head swim coach of Afton Village Swim Club. Originating as a swim lessons instructor at Aquanaut Swim School in Houston, her journey led her to coaching high school water polo and basketball at St Agnes Academy. Notably, at Saint Street Swim in River Oaks, she became the most requested instructor and instructor trainer. Christy’s leadership extended to being recruited to be the Aquatics Director of Sea Star Swim School and Gymnastics Center in Missouri City.

Venturing to Austin, she founded TKO Swim, a private swim instruction company, offering personalized lessons at clients’ homes, community pools, and St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. In an enriching experience, she collaborated with Olympic Gold Medalist Ian Crocker, enhancing her elite stroke technique instruction skills.

Her three daughters joined the Afton Alligators team in 2023 and she volunteered with the team, helping kids improve their strokes with her experienced instruction. She now eagerly takes on the official role of head coach, excited to contribute to the Afton Village Swim Club community through coaching and lessons this summer.
